It’s been a stellar year for Gremln – since launching an updated version of its social media platform in the spring of 2012, we’ve been hard at work creating a compliance toolkit to help regulated industries get social, and working to keep you up to date on the latest industry news, tips, and social media best practices. With offices in St. Louis; Springfield, MO; Chicago; Dallas; and San Jose, Costa Rica – and over 150,000 system users – Gremln is growing fast. We’re excited to share a few highlights from the past year, as well as a bit of what’s to come.
We’re thrilled to announce Dallas-based industry veteran Lori Barber has joined the Gremln team as our new Vice President of Business Development in June of this year. She heads up our new Dallas office and is helping build Gremln’s client relationships. She’s a Tough Mudder (as in… runs half marathons knee-deep in mud), a passionate lover of food and wine, and a social media enthusiast. Say hi to Lori on Twitter.
Gremln also welcomed Britt Johnson as Manager of Software Development and Oscar Pereira as Developer. These two help keep the back end of Gremln running smoothly and are constantly working to make Gremln the best social media tool on the market.
CEO Ryan Bell received the St. Louis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” honor for his work as a local St. Louis entrepreneur. Stay up to date on Gremln’s progress by following Ryan on LinkedIn and Twitter.
Since 2011, financial regulatory bodies (such as the FFIEC, FINRA, and the SEC) have continued to issue and update guidance regulations holding banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions accountable for social media activities and communications. As a result, such regulated industries have been virtually unable to harness the benefits of social media marketing due to concerns over the ability to filter, monitor, and archive social media communications.
Gremln’s enterprise social media management toolkit is just what regulated industries need – allows companies to filter out keywords and phrases that violate regulations and set up corporate structures and compliance filtering process to ensure messages are not sent without proper approval. Messages and activity from all major social networks are captured and archived in searchable and exportable formats for reporting & audit purposes. Gremln has already been endorsed by a number of financial institutions across the country, and looks forward to continuing to help the financial services industry gain a strong presence on social media.
Gremln is rolling out a fresh new look over the coming weeks – so keep an eye out for a slick new design. We’re guessing you probably noticed the new look here on the blog – we’d love to know what you think!
We know many of you have been anxiously awaiting news on our mobile platform. Get your thumbs ready – Gremln mobile is coming soon. For all of you doing social on the go, you’ll be able to access your Gremln account and post to your various social network accounts using your iPhone, Android, or tablet device.
The absolute highlight of the past year has been getting to serve our customers and get feedback from you on what’s working and what needs improvement. We’re constantly working to make Gremln the best it can be, and we really value our customers’ input. We’d love to hear from you in the comments!
