By now, it’s pretty much common knowledge that Facebook is releasing a fancy new profile style called Timeline. While its full-scale launch has been pushed back due in part to a legal skirmish, some users have been given early access to the Timeline. (You can check out my recap of the changes at “The Gremln Guide to Facebook’s New Timeline.”) It should be rolling out to all users soon.
The look of the new Timeline layout is pretty sharp, and although Facebook hasn’t yet announced whether or not business pages will be granted the new style, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that they will. The Timeline layout could allow for some pretty great branding opportunities for businesses. Here’s a mock-up I threw together for Gremln:
The large image of Gremly puts our mascot front and center, the exclamatory profile image hints at the excitement of Gremln’s launch, and the whole design ties into both our website and blog branding.
